Mediation
Amin (“A-meen”) Danai, J.D., serves as a neutral mediator, facilitator, and negotiation consultant. He mediates disputes of many different types including business/commercial, employment, insurance coverage, personal injury/torts, professional liability, real estate, securities, and trust and probate. He also assists organizations by facilitating sensitive discussions and providing negotiation expertise. Amin is available to provide services in-person across New England, or over Zoom nationwide.
Amin began practicing full time as a neutral in 2022. Before that, he practiced law at Ropes & Gray LLP for nine years and obtained extensive mediation and negotiation training. His interest in mediation developed while at Ropes & Gray. After completing his initial mediation training and mediating disputes in court, Amin took a hiatus from Ropes & Gray for an intensive mediation apprenticeship at TMG. He learned from Brad Honoroff, the esteemed mediator and co-founder of TMG, while working with him on over a hundred complex cases and also working with many other prominent Boston mediators both within and outside of TMG. This rare experience enabled Amin to see many different mediation styles and learn what is effective and what is not. Amin then returned to Ropes & Gray and the practice of law with the intent to eventually shift his practice to conflict resolution. He made that intent a reality in 2022 when he rejoined TMG to build a full-time conflict resolution practice. He has since built a robust practice serving as a neutral for disputes of many different types and serving in mediation-adjacent roles such as facilitation and negotiation consulting. While some neutrals focus on certain types of disputes, Amin has developed a reputation for being effective in managing difficult relationship dynamics and mastering the intricacies of complex disputes, regardless of the nature of the matter.
Amin is a graduate of St. Lawrence University, magna cum laude, and Boston University School of Law, summa cum laude.
References are available from attorneys and organizations who have engaged Amin as a neutral.
