Civil and Family Mediation

Jeff Fraser, J.D. (Boston College Law School) is a practicing lawyer at Fraser & Associates LLC in Newton. He has over forty years of experience in private practice including personal injury, divorce, wills, probate, business, and real estate law.

Jeff has worked as a professional mediator since 1994.  He has extensive mediation experience in all types of civil cases. Jeff has also mediated numerous cases involving divorce, estate, adult sibling, and family disputes. He has co-mediated many divorce and high conflict cases, working in a team with a therapist/mediator, and is very familiar with both the legal issues and the emotional dynamics arising in divorce, multi-party estate cases, and family business disputes. 

From his legal and mediation practice, Jeff has specialized knowledge in the fields of psychology, psychiatry, and dentistry. He also has personal and professional experience with the diagnosis and treatment of developmental disabilities in children, and the diagnosis and treatment of adult mental health disorders.

Jeff serves as a panelist and trainer with the Civil Mediation Workshop sponsored by Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc.  He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and the United States District Court Bar. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Massachusetts Bar Association.
