Family Mediation

Kathryn “Katie” Crouss, J.D. (Western New England School of Law) concentrates her legal practice on both employment and family law related matters. As a family law attorney, Katie regularly represents clients in divorce, custody and post-divorce matters both in court and through alternative dispute resolution methods. Both a certified mediator and trained in collaborative law, Katie assists clients in working towards an amicable resolution in order to avoid the uncertainty, time, and expense of litigation whenever possible. In addition, Katie regularly advocates for clients in Probate and Family Court in all four western counties, and has represented clients in courts throughout the state.

Katie is admitted in both Connecticut and Massachusetts, and to Federal District Court in Massachusetts. Katie has been on the board of Community Legal Aid since 2018, and has chaired CLA’s Access to Justice fundraising campaign in Hampden County for the past two years. Katie has served on the board of the Hampden County Bar Association since 2018, and is currently President of the HCBA. Katie has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star since 2021. While in law school, Katie served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Western New England Law Review.

In addition to her legal practice, Katie joined The Mediation Group’s roster of Family Mediators in 2024. She received her mediation certificate in 2017 from MCLE/New England.
